Today I did a short story on a girl who is lost and is captured. She finds her family and wants to find out more.

HI, My name is Joy from room 9 Wesley INternediate, and this week for reading I did a character infrence chart. We had to read a story and it was really easy becaseu we did it as a group and disscussed it together.

Reading

This week for reading, my friend and I did buddy reading, and we even recorded it! I had lots of fun doing it. we read a story called 'The Witch and the pancakes'.It was about a cook that had died, and needed a knew cook to make panckaes for some important people who will be habving dinner with a guy called Sir paul. The maids went to go lok for a witch that could make good panckaes. They took the witch for granted and the witch got revnege, She got taken to jail and stayed there forever. We took turns reading a page each. I hope to do it next week and try a harder novel.

Reading Reflection 20/10/17

This week for reading I practiced how to find the authors purpose for the text.

I found this task to be very easy because there is quite a big difference in Entertaining, Informing, and persuading.

I learnt how to easily fin the authors purpose of the text.

Next Week I will work on how to make a conclution or an assumption.

I hope to achive it by the end of next week.

I HAVE SUCH A BUSY WEEK!!!

Hi, I am Joy from Wesley Intermediate, and I have a very busy week coming up. On tuesday, our school are holding a cross country and I am not too excited for that.. But on Thursday I can't wait because our school is holding a School Market day. it is a FREE entry, and there will be lots of nice food and little goods to buy. Hi, My name is Joy from room 9 and today our class learnt different types of angles. We learnt all the different angles by watching a video on a website called Khan Academy. Through that video we learnt a right angle, a  acute angle, and a obtuse angle. Our teacher also taught us a straight angle, a reflex angle and a straight angle. I learnt that a right angle is a 90° . An acute angle is a angle that is less than 90°. A obtuse angle is an angle that is more than 90°. A straight angle is a straight line, and a reflex is an angle that is between 180° and 360°

Digital Footprint

Digital Footprint



Today I was looking for my classmates pictures, and I found most of them, but missed out a few.
The lesson for today was that you should check who you are sharing the pictures to, and that smotimes there will be pictures of you on the internet. I was really supriesd and forgot about some of my social media and a few of the boys found a picture of me because they were following me.
A digital footprint is a trace that you leave on the internet. On youtube, if you watch the same type of videos, on the recommendation, you will get things that are related to it.
I think that I should be a bit more careful about the pictures I post.
I hope that you guys do somthing similar to this, because it was a really fun activity, that can remind you about your safety.

Market Day Next Term!!!

Market Day!!

Next Term(Don't know the date) but Wesley Intermediate School is holding a Market Day. My friend and I are going to try sell Slime and a whole bunch of other fun little extras, such as Lucky dips, litle treats, and we are also thinking about having a few slime kits. I really think that it is a good opportunity to make money and do a little bit of marketing. If you have any friends/family that lives around our area, tell them about our schools Market day. I hope to see lots of people abnd also try to make money!

Today my class was set a assigment on Mangahigh, and I was trying really hard to get gold on all of them. It took a few tries, but I finaly got golds for both of them. I hope to have more assigmnets like this.

These past weeks, my friend and I have been working on a project for market day. We have chosen to make slime and a few nits and pieces. I really like tht we had to work together because we had double good ideas, and got to do a lot less work.

Today I finished nearly all of my learning Log even though it was only Monday.
If you don't know what a learning Log is, it is a sheet where our class links our work for our teacher(Mr Walker)to see.

That is pretty much What I did today. The work is nearly the same with a few xtras each week. It was really funa nd easy.

This week I did a lot of stuff. I read a really good book called'Opal Plumstead' The thing that I loved most this week was the parent teacher Interveiws. At the Parent teacher Interveiws, I got lots of complements, and that made me very very happy. My parents were very proud of me.

Short Recount

Today I wrote a recount about my day out with my friend. I had fun writing it and had alot of fun in it.... I hope to write more stuff.

Story

This week, I started to write a story about the moon. I couldn't really concentrate, so I didn't really get to finish it. I am writing the story at home as well as school. I have really good ideas, but I just cant get the words to make sense. I hope I finish the story by the end of the day.

Xtra Maths

Everyday of this week, I have been on Xtra Maths. You do a  basic Facts test, and it comes up with your results. You have to try and get them all right, and get all the smiley faces. I tried my best, but I couldn't get all of them right. I think that I improve every week, so I am pretty happy with my results. I will try to blog about most things.

This week I got another 3 golds on Mangahigh. I tried some of the easy tasks, so they were pretteasy to get golds on. Last week I only got 1 gold becaseu I was away Monday and Tuesday. I am now going to try to get more than 3 golds from now on. I will try my best to blog about most stuff I do on my chromebook.

Narrative into Comic

Today I turned my Narrative Story into a comic using a comic creator. I found that I needed more cells, so I used 6 insted of 3. The Comic was easy to make, scnoce I was the one who wrote the story. The story was about a girl who finds a magic mirror, and goes into it. She finds herself inna magical place, but goes back home soon. I think I showed my story pretty well on a comic.

Weekly Blog Post

This week I managed to finish my learning log in 2 days. I had to work harder scince I wasn't here on Monday And Tuesday. I was really tired, and I tried to do some at home but Thankfully I finished at school. The learning Log is pretty easy, and I just managed to finish it and even post a blog! I was happy that I finished it and on't have to stress about it anymore. :)

Today I finisehed a slide called the Digital Dig. At the end I made a poster and, I have poseted a picture as well. The poster I made was about some shortcuts. I got through the digital Dig slide easiley, so I got to the poster pretty quickly. I was happy with my results, and it is really eye catching. I hope you like my poster.

This weel I learnt how to add 2 decimals together and 'Pad' numbers.  If the decimals are : 34.768+2.33 the answer will be : 37.098 because
34.768
  2.33 add a 0 next to the 3. becomes 34.768+2.330
______

______
 37.098 So if the 2 numbers don' match(remember to line the decimal points Frist) Then you have to add(Pad) 0's at the end.

I hope you know how to  add decimals now.

Kawa Of Care Powtoon

WHAT
This is the Kawa of Care powtoon that I did. It was easy to make since Iv'e used Powtoon Before.The Powtoon is about keeping our chrome book safe, by using the kawa of care. The one that I did was 'don't leave your chrome book near edges.'
It was hard to find the right characters for the message but found one in the end.
Next time, I think I should make it a bit longer.
